Calf Raiser Program

 A partnership program of Triple B Cattle Company ~ Owners B&B Cattle Company of Normangee, TX; Barrett Farms of Tatum, TX;  and KLB Farms of Madisonville, TX

 

 

 

How it Works:

The Embryo Owner will pay all costs associated with:

· The actual embryo collection.

· The transfer of the embryo into the recipient cow.

· All costs associated with shipping the calves at weaning.

· Arrangement of shipments for the calves.

· Assistance in developing a synchronization schedule.

 

The Triple B Cattle Company will pay all costs associated with:

· The synchronization of the recipient cows and heat detection (drugs and labor).

· The labor to work the cows.

· Supply the calves with a creep feed for at least the last 60 days prior to weaning.

· Ear tags for calves at birth.

· Scale or tape to weigh calves at birth and scales for weaning weights

· Vaccinations for calves.

· Vaccinations and de-worming of the recipient cows.

· Supplemental feed and mineral source for cows (if needed).

· Take care of all the billing and correspondence of data.

· Assistance in developing a synchronization schedule.

 

Cost of the Calf

· Payment to be made in 3 installments due at:

· 60 day pregnancy check

· Calving

· Weaning

 

At weaning, the owner can then decide if they would like B&B Cattle Company to continue developing their bulls and/or heifers.  See our Bull and Heifer Development Program information for more details.
